I hope I am posting this in the right forum, if not please move it. I have my flat panel tv hooked up to pc and I use it for both tv and a pc monitor. I installed a game but when it goes to start, I get an "Invalid Mode" message from the tv, not the pc. I can hear the game playing but nothing on the screen. Any ideas?

Look on the TV manufacturer's website for info on your TV. Maybe find a whitepaper that lists what it supports when connected to a PC or for gaming on a PC. If the error is being displayed on the TV from the PC, then it is a DirectX error because DirectX doesn't like something about your TV. If it is a TV error from the TV, then the TV doesn't like something about the DirectX.
