I replaced my CD drive with a CD/DVD (MRX-510L
Memorex) and have been having a bizarre problem
with burning audio CDs. Under Linux, it works
fine. Under Windows 2000, a long list, with some
major software names on it, all strike out. They
produce disks which at best play a few tracks, and
then stop. I've only found one program which works,
and it's hardly the one which first comes to mind
as a burning powerhouse--Windows Media Player
9.

Does anyone think they know what the heck is going
on here?

(No Pipsqueaks have been able to prove ANY of the above is a LIBEL)

When you install WMP 9 on a computer that is running Win2K, you cannot
use any third-party CD burning software:

You haven't stated what speed your burning them at, maybe the speed you're using
is just too fast for good results.

You might try burning them at a slower speeds, like 4x, 8x or 16x.
