|
|
Hello!
I know, that a 3510 can be connected (via fiber) to multiple servers and
offer them different physical disks housed inside it.
Is the same true about *logical* disks as well?
I'd like to fill up the existing 3510 with disks arranged into a
/single/ RAID5 and give pieces of that array to several different
servers (sort of like EMC).
Is that possible, or does each logical disk given to a server have to be
a distinct array?
Thanks!

It's ages since I looked at one, but I am fairly sure that the answer is
no - you can slice up arrays and export chunks.

That's pretty cool, thanks!
