Please post model of motherboard, amount of RAM, and CPU.
You may have bad capacitors. To check, inspect your motherboard and look closely at the small cylinders. The ends should be flat; if the ends are not flat, it indicates swelling. Capacitors may also be leaking; there will be a substance similar to battery acid around the capacitors. Look here for an example: http://cquirke.mvps.org/badcaps.htm
The suggested remedy for this is motherboard replacement.
Can you get into your system BIOS? There are other possible causes including system driver problems and memory problems. If you find no bad capacitors, try re-seating your memory sticks, and then start updating the drivers for your motherboard. _________________ Guy |
