I have a 965P-DS3 motherboard and I can't get my audio input on the back of
it to work. I also don't have a mic-input in the back either that works.

Have you checked the BIOS? If you haven't, that's the next place I would

Are you using a transplanted boot hard disk, that used to boot with some
other motherboard ?
Did you do a "repair install" ? By using the Windows CD, you can
repair your install, without removing any applications or settings.
It does require you to reinstall any Service Packs or Security
Updates, after the repair.

Did you install drivers for the audio from the motherboard CD ?
Did you look for driver updates on the Gigabyte web site ?
Drivers come after the repair install.
Have you opened any audio control panels and looked at the settings ?
For example, my PCI audio card has a "Mixer" panel with sliders.
There are little check boxes in the Panel that "mute" inputs or
outputs, and they should be unchecked.
Your post is a little sparse on details, as to what you've tried and
what environment you are in. For example, you could be a Linux user,
and my above instructions could be a waste of time.
