I started a background format on a DVD+RW. Then I stopped it with
the CLOSE TRACK/SESSION function 0 (Quick Stop BG Format).

Now when I reinsert the disc and do READ DISC INFORMATION
it tells me that it is a finalized disc (Disc Status = 0x02). Also
the Erasable bit is 0.

My software basically didn't want to deal with multisessions, and is
refusing to write to discs that aren't empty. Since there's no
"blank"
operation for DVD+RW, I can't "unformat" it. I can restart the
background
format though.

So should I just ignore the READ DISC INFORMATION for the
DVD+RW, and assume it really is writable and erasable?
