Hello everyone.
i would like to know if anyone have any advice on how to install a Windows
XP on a Aspire 9813?

it currently has Windows Vista, and when i try to boot from the Windows XP
Pro SP2 install media, i am told, that the windows installer was unable to
locate any hard drives.
my machines configured with 2 hard drives.

Acer Support told me to delete all partitions before trying... if this is
the procedure, i would love if anyone could point me to a good partition
managing software that didn't cost a fortune.

thank you
Jeppe

BootIt NG is a very good and reasonable cost partition manager -

no i do not have a raid setup, and when i boot from windows XP cd it will
not find any hard drives at all, so kinda hard to use the XP installation
partition manager :S
it is when it comes to the part of selecting a hard drive for the windows
installation, that windows says "cannot find any hard drives, press F3 to
exit the windows installation."
i have tried to press F6 to install additional drivers for the hard drive
controller, but the 9813 comes with no floppy drive, and winXP requires that
if you want additional drivers installed.
