|
|
Hello;
I have a C240 that refuses to stay running. I've already seen the
post here:
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.sys.hp.hardware/msg/50a5a2fd09750253
But that doesn't seem to be the problem as both R19 and R28 read 180K
with an ohmmeter.
It seems to be heat related, since it stays up the longest from a cold
boot. By the time it gets to loading the OS, it simply shuts off.
Eventually it simply refuses to turn on.
I've tested all the fans, and they're ok. I could go through the PSU
looking for bad components, but that thing looks like a headache to
dismantle.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Andrew |

Hrmm...
After a second thorough cleaning and reassembly, it seems to be
working again.
However, if Murphy's law holds, it will go down again shortly after
this post is made. |
