Hi all,
A friend of mine in Japan (I'm in Australia) has just purchased a Toshiba
Dynabook AX/55A notebook with Vista Home Basic (I think).
She tells me that she has a problem with the "finger pad", ( the mouse plate
on the keyboard).
She has an external mouse plugged in, but tells me that when she is using
the notepad her hand might brush up against this "finger pad" & obviously
move the mouse pointer or accidentally click on something. Does anyone know
how to disable this "finger pad" when the mouse is plugged in so that this
doesn't happen?

I don't know about the Toshiba. There may be a disable available
in the bios. However, she should get rid of Vista. See the links
