Epson Perfection 2400 Photo- Vista compatible?

I have an HP Scanjet 4570c and found out that it's incompatible with IE7- in
fact, when I downloaded IE7 to my Dell running XP it did so much damage I
was forced to reformat! And, the Scanjet has and never will have a Vista
driver.

So, I'm thinking of switching scanners with my girlfriend- she's using an
older Dell with XP and will never upgrade her browser on that machine to IE7
(or else!)- so she can have my Scanjet and I'll take her Epson Perfection
2400 Photo- if and only if the Epson will run OK on my new Dell running
Vista.

So, the question to you Epson users is- is the software that came with the
Epson installable on the Vista system or does Vista have its own driver for
the Epson?
