Hi, I am using two sata hdd's as my main drives. Also have a couple of DVD's
burners and an IDE HDD for backup use. I have the bios set for sata and to
boot scsi. What bugs me is it does an IDE scan, finds nothing and boots up
which adds time to the boot process. Can the scan be stopped?

The scan can be stopped by disabling the "Onboard H/W RAID"-option in the |
Integrated Peripherals section of the BIOS. It should only be enabled if
and when you need to hook up more than four IDE devices. Since the scan
finds nothing, I'm guessing you don't have any device connected to either
IDE3 or IDE4.

Thanks. I haven't paid much attention to the board functions since building
the computer. I see now that I better keep up with the operating
parameters. That worked fine.
