I see this motherboard with many different versions. What does it
mean? If I can find a cheap version 1 and version 3 is out, do I just
update the bios to make it the same as the higher version?
thanks,

If the motherboard is advertised as different versions, this usually means
that the specs of the components has changed, or possibly that the entire
board layout has changed. In fact, you usually can NOT use the latest BIOS
data file to update an older version of the same model of motherboard. But,
you might be able to get an updated BIOS data file to match the older
version of the motherboard, also. -Dave |

According to the Gigabyte web site, the 2.0 and 3.3 versions appear to
use the same BIOS. The x.3 versions appear to have a higher 1333 FSB
whereas the x.0 versions are limited to 1066.
