somehow a virus got in my computer late last week. i have AVG (btw, anyone else thing AVG is OK?) and it keeps catching trojans here and there that keep showing up. I don't know if i've got them all or not.
Anyway... since then, there have been some problems.
the first time i bing up internet explorer there is not a URL box nor toolbars. It's only the 1st time I bring it up.
Next, when a page comes up, it won't load the pictures (especially GIFs) from that site. I can view the pics if i right click and hit "view" or something, but that's the only way.
I believe the trojans are gone, but how do I fix these problems? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Looks like the Internet Explorer settings need to be restored to their default values. Have a look in "tools" > "internet options". _________________ Overclocked |

I'd suggest you search in Google for the name of this trojan/virus - you should be able to find complete removal instructions on antivirus sites like Symantec. _________________ Overclocked |

| Instead of AVG I would try AVIRA ANTIVIR. It works well for me, it's free, and has had good write ups in places like consumer reports. http://www.avira.com/en/pages/index.php |

| I downloaded antivir, but it says that it's only a demo and that it doesn't come with updates. was it like that when you downloaded it? |
