The BIOS reads this chip as a 1500+ and sends a two tone alarm through the
case speaker on bootup.
The chip is a newly installed 2700+ Athlon Thoroughbred model "B"
AXDA2700DKV3D on a MSI km3mv mobo. BIOS reads this as a 100.02 MhZ clock,
13x multiplier, 200.4 MhZ DDR (FSB?) for a final CPU speed of 1.303 GhZ.
I'd really like to see this CPU run at capacity. Can I update the BIOS or
will this board even run a T-bred at all like I thought it could? Options?
Suggestions?
TIA,

Ooohhhh I love it when this happens...I needed to change the clock switches
SW1 and SW2 from 100MHz to 166Mhz and then change the cpu heat alarm
settings in CMOS to 133 degF. Works great now.
Now, any advice on overclocking settings to get from 2.1 to 2.5 GHz?
