I have thought very much on changing my OS from Win Xp to like Linux, the only problem is that i dont know so much about the Linux versions and i dont know with one that is the optimal for my computer.

My computer: Intel Centruon 2.2ghz, RAM 96 mb, 40 Gigabytes harddrive and an 10/100 network card. What is the best linux version for my computer?

You could alway's find out by trying.... install it on another hard drive so that anything goe's wrong you'll have a good worjing system.... and loose no files in the process.

You'll find loads of people installing Vista and running into problems... if only they had installed it on another drive they would have a usable system and not lost files, hard drives are cheap enough these day's.

Does it make sense?
