Using Incd 5, with Nero 7, trying to format a disc and can't get the
progress bar in the Format function to work. What I'm basically trying
to do, is span cd's so that I can copy large folders. |

What Windows? What are the full version numbers of Nero and InCD -
right-click InCD icon on system tray? What's the brand name and model
number of your burner? What's the brand name and speed rating of cd-rw
(or dvd_rw) media, like "1x-4x", MultiSpeed, HighSpeed or UltraSpeed?
(Sorry to hear you are still having problems with spanning. Are there
files larger than 700M? How did it go with Nero BackItUp?)

SMH, thanx for the reply;
Using Windows XP Pro-SP2. Nero 7 Ultra, InCd 5.1.0.5,
burners are: LiteOn TR-40125S(40X) and Acer model HHO6EU-0024x4x6
To answer Ur questions, I finally found something in Nero BackItUp that
allows just file and folder backups-not the whole drive. I got nowhere
(wouldn't allow further entries) with the 40x, so tried the 4x which
allowed further entries once I ticked the compression check box. Was
then able to do a bkup of requested files. HOWEVER, it said the
estimated no. of cd's would be 5(about 3.5 gigs), after the first cd, it
said bkup complete and NEVER asked for the subsequent cd's. I tried a
restore after that and got some, also a lot of blank folders;
at which time I went to bed.
It's now the next day and here I am soliciting Ur help before trying to
go out and slay the dragon again.
All in all, making SOME progress with Nero Nero BackItUp, but no cigar!
Cheers-Herb. |

As far as InCd goes, I was on the wrong track with thinking it had to do
with spanning so I'll give that up for now.
