|
|
HI all,
I need to get a new HD to be my C drive. It will not
be on my raid array.
I want this drive to have the OS only, so I'd rather
have a small one. I was thinking of getting this one:
http://www.grabcart.com/product/toy/card/1265633
Seagate/Barracuda ATA II 100 3.5 inch 15GB IDE HARD DRIVE
Would an ATA - 2 be fine for the C drive? I just need
somethng that holds the OS, and works. I'm using
windows xp pro.
Thanks! |

Though 15 gigs will probably be enough...I'd still go bigger..
and prob. not get a refurb.
ATA-2 is fine though |

You didn't tell us anything about your system but "yes" it
should work.
Frankly I would not buy a drive that old nor refurb'd, it's
about at the end of it's life already!
How about a Seagate 250GB for $50, think it has free
shipping?

It should last years longer, be quieter, far faster, has a 5
year warranty. I can't see using an old 15GB drive unless
you already had it so A) It's free. B) You know the
history of the drive. C) No time spent ordering,
receiving, or dealing with small resellers that use other
stores (making them gypsies, they may disappear at any
moment). |
