Hi
I have decided to build a new P4 computer. I have decided on the following
as starters.

1) Intel P4 2.6C or 2.8C
2) 1 GB DDR Ram. Which is suitable? C 2.5 or C 3.0 3.9
3) The peripherals will come from my spares.
4) I will be using a LCD display Viewsonic VE155
5) Motherboard??

My problem is which motherboard?

I have the following to choose from a neighborhood OMO computer shop. The
prices are nearly the same except the Gigabyte pro which cost $15 more than
the non pro version.

a) Microstar MSI Neo2

b) Gigabyte 81PE1000

c) Gigabyte 81PE1000 PRO2

d) Asus P4P800 865PE

e) Asus P4P800 Deluxe 865

Which is value for money. I look for a board with stability.

6)Also would a Gigabyte Radeon 9200 128 MB SE be a suitable graphics card?

Hope you can take the trouble to help me. Thanks.

Sorry I should have been more specific.

It depends on what your after, the SB75G2 is what I use, It doubles up
as media PC since I installed the ATI All-wonder-card 9800. I went for
1gig of Corsair XMS memory & 250gig WD sata hard drive.

I'm really happy with it. I went for the "Intel Pentium 4/ 3.0C GHz
800MHz FSB, 512KB Cache, Hyper Threading" since the prices have dropped
on this CPU. & now the price jump is on 3.2 & the intel Extreme Edition
( Crazy price $1,000)

Here's one of the review on the shuttle.

I tend to like this machine also (Ice-Cube).

I only wish it came in an Athlon variant.

I'm really happy with my p4p800 and don't recomend the "deluxe" version.
People have had problems with the IDE raid etc..

It's the subliminal messages in the commercials. You know, brainwashing!

Looked like a good dual chanel ram P4 board. The deluxe P4P800 has a Via
raid chip which has been reported to be flakey, which isn't a surprize.

Thanks Roger.

It's a slightly different design/look from the ice-cube that I
referred to (and forgot to make a link to)
