There is a lot of 'pressure to buy Vista or even to go for the expensive version to get the Aero Glass effect - cry baby You DO NOT NEED Windows Vista for the Aero Glass 'see-thru' windows' eek
I have been using a free program from www.Majorgeeks.com for 6 months now which gives me the same visual 'functionality' as you get with Vista.

The program is Vista Transformation Pack; its FREE and it can be down loaded from this url.

There is a warning that it installs system files and Windows asked me if i wanted to reinstall changed files, to which I said NO. sarcastic eye roll

If someone's using basic Vista and tries this program, feed back please! I think it will work for U 2 being evil

Nice for someone to show us all that Aero is what it is. Eye candy, and
essentially an add-on to be snapped onto the basic operating system. Typical
Microsoft tradeoff of glitz versus secure and reliable operation, and even truly
useful innovation... Ben Myers

Really. Do people actually sit looking at their screen and thinking how
beautiful it is? I look at it to read or otherwise observe the content.

And, clearly, neither of us were on the Micro$oft Vista design team when they
set priorities on which features were important and which were not... Ben Myers
