Hi all,
I have an Acer C51 (Athlon 64 Venice, NVidia GeForce 6100, yadda)
purchased almost exactly a year ago. It has worked perfectly so far,
but now my RAM is failed. It came with two 512MB DDR-400-CL3 modules,
made by "Nanya" (a company I hadn't heard of).
I'm trying to figure out if the system is still under warranty, and
can't find the serial #. Acer's web site says that it's 21-25
characters long, but gives no other info on locating it. I can't find
it anywhere on the outside of the case, though on the motherboard
there's a sticker that says "PC C51GM03A1-2.0-8EKRS". However that
isn't a valid SN according to the Acer web site. Can anyone tell me
where to find it?
Thanks!

I should add that only one of the two DDR modules has failed, while
the other is fine. I've confirmed this with memtest86, which gives
tons of errors with one module, and none with the other.

Will any 512 MB PC3200 module do? If I get a 1 GB module instead,
will I lose the dual-channel benefit?
