We were bundling our TrackerPod with the Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000
since it provided good quality video that we required for our
automatic tracking feature. Unfortunately, this camera is discontinued
by Logitech.

Would anyone know if there are any new webcams that have similar video
quality? In particular, we are looking for a webcam that has 640 x 480
resolution, 30 fps frame-rate, USB 2.0, has good drivers (allows us
to control automatic balance, exposure, etc) and allows more than one
to used on same computer. The camera does not have to be CCD as long
as it works well in low light.

We have experimented with a few cams but some the higher quality
webcams still have bad drivers or did not work well when more than one
were used on the same computer.

Any leads would be appreciated!

You might want to check the watchport cams (link below), which
are a decendent of the 3COM Homeconnect cams which were very
good. The 3COM Homeconnect cams had drivers that allowed up to 10
of them to be connected to the same computer.
