|

Hi all,
I have :
- Computer A
- Modem A
- Modem B
- Computer B
Computer A is calling Computer B.
Modem is in auto off-hook, so when it's ringing, it off hook automatically
Computer A sends information to modem A at 19200 bps.
Modem A sends information to Modem B
Modem B send information to Computer B at 9600 bps.
I need Modem B to send information to Computer B at 19200 bps.
Computer B can't send information to Modem B that's why the Modem B doesn't
know the speed on the serial port of Computer B
Has anybody a solution to my problem ?
The modem is from Agere technology.
Best Regards

Hervé,
Here are some options.
1. Configure the answer modem (modem B) to lock its DTE speed at 19200 bps.
If modem B does not have such an option, then
2. Configure the answer modem to have its DTE speed follow its DCE speed.
Then, configure the originate modem to only use a DCE rate of 19200 bps.
Regards,
Aaron

Thank you for this information, i searched on the at command list for the
modem, and i don't find any way to do that you offer me.
I just got the information from the reseller, that it's not possible on this
version of modem. He is going to sell us the previous version of modem which
is with a connexant chip instead of an Agere chip.
Thanks a lot,
Best Regards,
Hervé |
