I have a RAID 5 array on our Netserver with 3 36 Gig drives. NetRaid
Assistant shows all 3 as Failed with the following error is the log
file:
NOTIFY:Check Condition on Ch 1 ID 12 with the following sense key -
Fri Feb 23 10:46:50 2007
f0 00 0b 00 00 67 1c
0a 00 00 00 00 47 02
NOTIFY:Check Condition on Ch 1 ID 10 with the following sense key -
Fri Feb 23 10:46:50 2007
f0 00 0b 00 00 78 00
0a 00 00 00 00 47 02

f0 00 0b 00 00 67 1c

I do not know how to interpret these to determine what the problem
is. I can't imagine that all 3 drives actaully failed at the same
time which would lead me to believe it is not a drive failure. Any
ideas?

Thanks,

The sense key is 0B (Aborted command), this is usually a sign of SCSI bus
trouble. Most likely the drives are OK but the connection to them isn't.
Check if all your connectors are firmly seated, if your SCSI bus terminator
is OK and if your termpower fuse is still intact. Another possible problem
might be a flakey power supply.
