I am looking for a Socket A/462 3Ghz processor to replace my 1.8Ghz cpu.
I have googled for one but not having much luck at the minute.
Anyone know where I can get one from?

Fastest one is the XP3200 Barton core. It runs at aboute 2.2gHz. Appears to
be very expensive.

An XP2900, in at 2GHz, was made in limited numbers/distribution. Almost 60%
of cost of the XP3200 but with 90% of the speed. Some BIOSes don't
recognized it but will still run (simply calls out another type during
POST).
