|

Just found a new, for me, way to get the "TV Failed to Initialize, Check
Drivers" error with MMC9.16 and Cat7.1. Tried reinstalling the drivers
several times and repair install of MMC twice without effect.
Trying to get video of the Daytona race to my network media device, set the
path for capture to the DNAS drive(G in the player.
Later, started getting the error. Took quite awhile to remember the path
change. When I turned the DNAS back on DTV ran OK.
Had to run the DTV initialization wizard to get the path set back to D:. Now
it's back to normal. In previous version(before 9.13) this would have just
disabled TVoD on the HDTV Wonder.
IOW a path error shows up as a device driver error. If it wasn't possible to
recreate the path a registry hack would probably be needed or clean and
reinstall of drivers/MMC. BTW I have an AIW, the HDTV Wonder and using XP. |
