Again - lots of useful stuff but i am not sure what it means.
What are the 'normal IDE channels' as opposed to the 'Highpoint' channels?
In my simple speak i have two grey connections that the IDE cable fromt eh HDD can go into, and i have two black connections that the CDROM and Floppy connect into, but the HDD cable wont fit into the black connections.
Eugen - did you solve the problem? _________________ Thanks

Hightpoint are UDMA66, so you need an 80 wire connector, and they are a
third party chip, so if you are installing to a drive attatched you need the
F6 option when installing XP.
80 wire connectore have blue, black and grey plugs on them.
blue = mobo, black = master, grey = slave. |
