It is CD ROM of sorts, a piece of a CD glues to card. However, the
tracks are straight, not spiral. I've got a few of the readers, but
the media is a different thing. I am teaching myself about the
technology and it is not so easy. Laser Card Inc, is not very forth
coming with information about the device - unless you want to pay 3K
for the developers kit!

If anyone knows where to media is available, I'd appreciate hearing
about it. I can't test software without something to test it on!
