|

I run setup from the CD, the camera is recognized (plugged into the router),
SSID and WEP settings are the same for router and camera.
setup is set for automatic configuration, infrastructure selected, keep
getting "unable to save configuration" error.
The IP has changed from .115 to .101; I can ping the camera
The router works great for sharing the dialup connection, files, printer
wirelessly from the desktop(host) to two laptops.
Not sure about "opening port" on the router.
Thanks for any help, I have Googled and searched for about 10 hours and can
not get this one.
Setting up the router for sharing dialup was a snap LOL compared to this.
I am using a proxy server xxx..xxx.x.111 the gateway address of the desktop
but can not figure out if I need to enter this somewhere, also not sure
about entry of "primary DNS"
Thanks

No DSL or cable out here in the sticks.

I recently bought this camera and have been very disappointed. You have
to use LinkSys' Sololink service and although we can view the camera
output on our wireless network no one on the internet can access the
camera's output and I have been unable to get any satisfactory support
from LinkSys.

After getting the camera on Friday and doing a lot of searching, I am
starting to think it is going back on Monday.
Fortunately RadioShack has a great return policy.
I was able to get a picture on my LAN using the viewer but the whole point
was to view the interior of my home while at work. In all of my surfing,
someone said they used Active WebCam, maybe I will give that a try.
The only way I could get a picture however was to use ethernet on my Airport
Express, no luck with the wireless yet.
