I reinstalled windows XP on my gateway desktop and have no sound?? Under my device manager it says I'm missing PCI Device? Does anyone know how I can fix this problem. I've tried downloading the chipset from the gateway site, but still have this problem. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

After installing or reinstalling Windows on any computer, the next step is to
install the drivers for the motherboard chipset followed by the drivers for all
the devices on the system. The really basic devices have built-in Windows
support, but usually the video, Ethernet, and audio drivers need to be installed
to get everything working... Ben Myers
