Some memory is sold with a "warning".

"Made With 128x4 Hi-Density Dram" <--- 128Megabit x 4 bit memory chip

"COMPATIBILITY NOTE Please Check Hi-Density Compatibility. Does Not work
in Any ASUS Boards and if you have an Nvidia nForce2, Intel 845,Intel 865,
or Intel 875 Chipsets or AMD 64 please click below:"

What this means is, you need to spend $20 more per stick of memory,
and get a module with 64Mx8 chips on it.

http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator_new/modelsinfo.asp?SysID=16960

This is an example of the correct construction for the memory:

http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KVR333X64C25_1G.pdf

"...The components on this module include sixteen 64M x 8-bit"

That is the property of the memory which is important. The type
of each memory chip should be 64 Megabits x 8 bit interface, for
the Nforce2. Using such chips, all the memory will be detected.
