I have been away from PC building for sometime. I was looking to
upgrade my CPU from a 1700+ to something new.

I found an AthlonXP 2100 AXDA2100UT3C. Will this work in a KT7A-Raid
V1.3?
Any CPU recommendations would be appreciated.

Yes. if it's an unlocked model, then it will boot at 2000MHz (20x100). if
it's a locked model, it should boot at default 1733MHz (13x133) or 1300MHz
(13x100). Set it to 133Mhz FSB.

Depending on the model of the 1700+ you now have, you may be able to clock
it just as high. See Multiplier Cross Ref. in My server link below.
