Is it possible to use my digital camera as a web camera when using
Skype?


I was told this was possible but haven't been able to do this.

Yes if the Digital camera has a webcam mode.

Canon and Fujifilm cams work.

I use a Finepix A205 with Skype and all kinds of othe webcam chat
apps.

How do you connect the A205 to your pc? I have one and the
camera-to-usb cable, is that all I need? I assume you then use the
video mode but how does the video get directed to the pc and not the
memory card in the camera?
