I received a hard drives as gift over the holidays a 160 GB Seagate and
what I would like to do is replace my original 80GB (O/S) drive with the
160 GB drive.

Though I am unsure if I can copy the original GW drive which has the
recovery partition on it to the new drive. Since it is GW drive do I
need to copy the MBR to the new drive or is that possible?

I have both Ghost 10 and Partition Magic.
