I am going on a trip to Iceland next June which incudes a cruise
eastward to Norway stopping at various islands and other points of
interest. Are there any how to or other sources of information on what
to take on a trip like this and what are the conditions like etc etc
etc?

This sounds like a great trip. How did you arrange it? We might like to
try it one of these days.

If you're worried about sub-zero temperatures try Tromso or Ivalo in
Finland in February. It's low season and you can get bargain basement
hotel deals to go with the -15C daytime temperatures in the day and
hitting -40C/F at night.
If the temp is negative, do the hotels actually pay you to stay there?
