The Times today had a full page add claiming, "If you want clear pictures
you don't want a Canon or Nikon." They also claim that only 20% of Canon
and Nikon lenses have IS/VR. They also claim that the Sony A100 is the only
camera to give clear sharp images with all their lenses since it has IS/VR
in the body. After seeing this add it put the fear of god into me thinking
that it's time to start dumping all my Nikon and Canon crap and buy a Sony
A100. I know the A100 isn't really going to give Canon or Nikon any
competition, but it was funny seeing this full page add.

Given Sony's product history, each future version of the Sony DSLR line
will have a slightly different lens mount, so you'll have to buy them
all new each time. I'm actually surprised they didn't come out with
MemoryStick2006 for this camera. |

False advertising, the discontinued Konica-Minolta 7D and 5D also has
the same IS/VR in the body. The Pentax K100D and K10D also have IS/VR in
their bodies, and will work with more lenses, including M42 mounts.
I have no idea about Canon cameras, but I bought the famous Canon Pixma iP |
4300 and it's really worth every penny. It can print excellent photos. It's
really an amazing piece of japanese engineering.
