Hi!
I have a question about different PCI-slots.
I have a SCSI 39160 64-bits PCI-card with some SCSI components.
At the moment I have it a standard 32-bits PCI slot.
Now to my question. Will my 64-bits 39160 fit in a PCI-X slot?
Many motherboards today seem to have what they call a PCI-X slot
but no 64-bits PCI slot. But searching around I get the feeling that
PCI-X are the next generation after 64-bit PCI. Am I right?
Thanks!
..
Friendly; Fredrik

Yes, your card will fit in a PCI-X slot (as long as it is a Mode 1 PCI-X
slot!). Yes, PCI-X was the next generation to PCI.
