Dear all,
My server have problem with HDD(hotspare). I had configured in hard
RAID1 with LSI RAID controller. The HDD failure is in slot1. Now i buy
a new HDD, but i confuse if i hot plug the RAID1 automatic mirror to
new HDD or i must change the HDD runing to slot1?
Please give me advice!

Hi,

I don't have any experience with LSI cards but I would 'think' that if you
replace one of the drives in a mirrored pair, regardless of which slot the
new drive is in, you'll probably just need to select a menu option (or
maybe you'll be prompted) to rebuild the pair. (and make sure should select
the right drive as the 'good' one if need be.)

Your best bet would be to look at your LSI RAID card manual or look at their
web site. In case it doesn't work check out this tip:
