I'm putting a computer together for a friend... Her basic needs are
internet browsing, minor entertainment, and possibly music producing
and editing in the near future (next year maybe). Since she wouldn't be
gaming or using two taxing applications at the same time, would a single
core be more reasonable than a dual core processor (AMD only)? For
example wouldn't it be more of a value to get a

I was thinking 1gb (512X2) would be more reasonable for her
requirements than 2gb (1gbX2).... What do you think?
