Hi. I get distorted sound but only on MP3s and only under windows media player/MCE. Movie files are fine under windows, and audio files are fine under VLC player. I know it must be a codec issue but am not sure where to start. Any tips appreciated.

Fixed it - turns out I had inadvertantly enabled the media player's inbuilt equaliser which was conflicting with the one bundled with my soundcard utility. Hop this helps anyone else with the problem - just turn the MP equaliser off.
