I just got a new computer with the P965T-A and was trying to install
Windows into. The major problem I have is that when the HD is plugged
in it doesn't seem to recognize the CD-Rom.

I've gone through the award bios, advanced bios features and changed
the first boot device to CD-ROM, I even made second and third boot
device cd-rom as well. But it won't even bother checking the cd-rom
when the HD is installed (held it in hand and it doesn't even spin the
cd). If I disconnect the HD the CD-ROM loads just fine, spins and loads
up the win xp install perfectly. Unfortunately that doesn't help much
when I don't have a HD.

The HD is connected by SATA while the CD-ROM PATA. Is there a setting
somewhere I haven't found?

Thanks,
Fission
