| Hi, I have a 1999 Gateway ESS 450SE and it runs but i get no picture on the monitor. i have tried a couple of different graphics cards and none of them work... can anybody help? |

"it runs but i get no picture." Actually, it is not quite running. Since
you've tried different graphics cards, the card is likely not the problem. Is
the monitor known to work OK? If the monitor is good, the finger of suspicion
points at a problem with the motherboard, because it is unable to display a
picture of even the BIOS POST (Power On Self Test). Or the power supply could
be failing to supply one of the required voltages.
A POST card would help considerably in diagnosing the problem. So would being
able to test the system with another power supply... Ben
