|
|
Hello,
I have a win98 machine. I burned some CDs of photos for friends and
family. Those who have Win98 or WinXP were able to read the CDs (even
those who don't have my particular CD-burning software); those who have
linux or Mac could not read the CDs.
I assume that means that my CD-burning software is creating a
nonstandard format on the CD.
Two questions:
1. What are the likely formats that these CDs are being written in?
2. What do my linux-using and Mac-using friends need to do, in order
to read them?
Now, here are the details:
My CD-burning software is "HP CD Writer" and "Adaptec DirectCD Wizard".
It allows me to write repeatedly to a CDR, and when I'm eventually
finished, I "close" the disk, and make it readable by "most computers"
(which evidently means Windows).
Thank you for all advice!
