|

Hey all.....I have a gateway 7110gx notebook. The center pin of the AC power jack on the motherboard snapped off. Repair shops only want to swap board for 450 dollars. I have de-soldered the broken AC power jack from the MB, but local stores have no stock on such an item. Is there a way to identify what exact jack is needed, so it can be ordered online? I see several that are physically compatible with socket in MB, but I am unsure of voltage, pin size, etc.....thanks for reading all this......

Weird...I posted this on howtofixcomputers.com, and on that forum I see no responses...I googled for more help, and my same post is on several other boards......I found the part needed easily thanks to you guys....Sorry to have seemed rude, but I just found your assistance out now. Anyway, thanks for the responses and especially for the link.....
Peace.....Jim |
