reset this feature? Thanks!

If you received a password-protected laptop where you do not have the
password, there is a *HIGH* probability that the laptop was stolen.

In any case, there is no backdoor password because laptops DO get
stolen... a LOT. If there were a backdoor password than the theives
would simply be able to get in using that password, completely
defeating the purpose of having a password in the first place.

You really need to go back to wherever you got this notebook from and
ask them what the password is and/or WHY they didn't give you this
password in the first place. I suspect that you won't like the answer
(or lack there-of).
