I understand that it is possible to provide the following elements to a
CD with CD-Text: Disc Name/Artist & Song Name/Artist. Is it possible to
incorporate additional Cd-Text elsewhere - for example at index points?

Found in the documentation for CDRDAO:
"A CD-TEXT block may be placed in the global section to define data valid
for the whole CD and in each track specification".
It also lists each field that may be included in a block.
