Hi,
We will need in our server configuration three logical drives, C, D and E.
We have 6 disks in our server. OS will be installed to C, some other
programs to D and Oracle database files to E. We have two ways to create
this :
1. Create 2 arrays with HP Array Configuration with disk 0 and 1 to array A
and rest to array B. In array A we will create logical drives C and D and
array B logical drive E.
2. Create just one array and create all logical drives in Windows OS.
Which way makes more sense to use ? Is there any performance benefits to use
one or the orher way ?
Thanks,
-Pete |

So the question is about how many logical spindles do you want, 1 or 2.
Depends on how much simultanious access will occur between (C:, D and (E
If so, you want seperate spindles (independently moveable headsets, actually),
else, it doesn't matter.
