Since putting a dual core AMD 64 4200+ in my AN8, I have always had to
do a shutdown twice, and I have always had checkdisk run on the next
boot up.

The problem was the AMD Power Monitor ver 1.01. If I shut this down
before I do a Win XP-Pro shutdown, it shuts down properly and no more
CHECKDISK running on the next boot up.

All running stable now smile.
