Hi, I am trying to burn an audio CD with recordungs made on an Olympus
digital voice recorder. Even though these are in WAV format, neither
Windows Media Player 11 nor Sonic RecordNow can burn them. According to
the error message in WMP11, the problem is that the player can't
determine the track lenghts. It suggested that I play the recordings,
but this didn't help. How can I overcome this problem? P.S. I have no
problem recording a data CD but I want these to play in my car CD
player.

Thanks!

The .wav file header may be invalid/missing. Don't know if Audacity
will fix the header problem, but first load and then save/export to
different filename.

Mike Richter - The Slimiest Friggin SOB (UDF)
=============================================

The slimiest friggin SOB Mike Richter has been for YEARS
blaming the UDF to weasel out the bugs of DirectCD:

------------------------------------------
UDF is a fragile format
UDF is an unreliable format

the format is very fragile and unreliable

The format is bad - it loses data

The fault is not with the software but with the format

I have used only DCD for packet writing,
have had no problems due to the software
- but too many due to the format itself

to bother with it any longer.

But then again:

First, your problem is not with UDF
