Hi! I find that my CD and DVD writers turn out
many more coasters when burning media at
its maximum rated speed than when I burn at
half (or lower) the rated speed of the media.
Is this normal? |

possibly due to mismatch between werier and media.
go to the manufacturer's web site, download and install most recent
burner firmware upgrade.
also see what media the manufacturer recommends. some burners are fine
tuned for one brand of media - and so you need to buy that brand for
best performance. generally, usually, often, sometimes, cheap disks
are cheap for a reason.
