Hi guys
Ive got a dell inspiron 2200.
The screen suddenly turns blue saying something like there is a corruption with the new hardware or software that has been installed.
at the bottom of the page it says
STOP 0X0000005 ( 0X000000, 0X81A1A9A0 0X0000001, 0X0000000)
THEN it says to contact the system administrator or system technician.
To get rid of it I have to turn the laptop off and turn it on again., then it dows it again. its sooo annoying.
please help me |

Hello,
Seems like there is a serious error. In IT engineering term, I would describe "serious error" is something like major system file corruption issues, or system crashes in relation to hardware or memory problem etc etc.
Anyway, I would like to suggest you to do the following to find out how serious this is, i.e. I am trying NOT to ask you to reinstall Windows XP at this stage.
1. Restart your computer
2. At the POST screen (the first screen you can see immediately after restart, hold on to Ctrl (or pressing F8) BEFORE Windows XP starts to load.
3. When you see a Startup menu, choose "Safe Mode".
Please let us know whether you manage to successfully start in Safe Mode and not having any error message.
Thanks.
